Course Details
The Bar Mitzvah Discovery Course consists of multiple sessions that take place over one school term. The lessons take place on a weeknight from 7:00pm – 8:00pm, with some sessions taking place on a Sunday. The course is run several times a year. There are no sessions during school holidays, on Jewish holidays or long weekends.
The sessions include a variety of classes, hands on experiences, excursions and father-son time. The learning sessions include topics such as: the Neshama, assuming responsibility, Tefillin demonstration, father-son session and more. The excursions include: Shule Tour, Kosher tour at Coles and more.
The boys are also encouraged to take up various Mitzvah opportunities on offer such as: Cooking for the needy, visiting the elderly, etc.
